Adam Burns draws on art rock, post-punk and new wave influences to create dynamic and melodic songs full of rich imagery and wry humor. His lyrics celebrate the strange and magical things that thrive beneath the surface of everyday life in a world where superheroes, witches and arsonists rub shoulders with bored housewives and small town hustlers. His dynamic and agile guitar playing beautifully compliments his gritty vocal style. A passionate delivery and playful interaction with his audience make live shows an immersive experience far beyond what you would expect from a solo singer-songwriter.

In addition to performing as a guitarist and vocalist, Adam is also the songwriter and producer behind the Burnsy electronic project and the drummer for indie-rock duo Little Tiger. From 2005 to 2017, Adam was the main songwriter and singer in Bootstrap Circus.

Burnsy is my new wave synth pop project. Here are some songs on SoundCloud.

Live in Mariposa

On Saturday, June 2nd, I’m really excited to be sharing the stage at The Grove House in Mariposa with local singer-songwriters Cory D. Ward and J.d.  We will be taking turns to play three-song mini sets starting at 7:00pm. Cory and J.d. are on tour together and I’m really excited about sharing the stage with these talented writers and performers. If you haven’t heard these two before, make sure you visit their websites and hear what they’re doing. They are both doing fantastic and unexpected things in the Singer-songwriter genre. See you there.
